GMCI Real World Assets RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Inclusion of three additional custodians to determine asset eligibility
Starting from the upcoming rebalancing, GMCI will consider three additional custodians to determine an asset's eligibility for the GMCI asset universe. In addition to existing custodians Bitgo, Coinbase Custody, and Gemini Custody, GMCI will also consider assets supported by Zodia Custody, Anchorage Digital, and Copper. This change applies to all GMCI indices.

GMCI has added clarifying language and concrete examples to its General Index Methodology document. There have been no changes to the index creation or maintenance process itself. For more information, please refer to the new index methodology.
April 3, 2025, 2:58PM UTCRebalancing reference time moved to 10:00 am UTC
From the upcoming reference date (November 22, 2024), the reference time will be moved from 4:30 pm UTC to 10:00 am UTC for all GMCI indices. This will ensure a smoother procedure, where the aim is to always distribute the new index constituents and weights on the reference date itself.
