The REX-Osprey XRP ETF (Ticker: XRPR) is a U.S.-listed exchange traded fund offering investors regulated exposure to the cryptocurrency XRP. Launched under the Investment Company Act of 1940, XRPR is managed by REX Shares in partnership with Osprey Funds. Its goal is to provide returns that closely track XRP’s price movements, before fees and expenses.
Under normal market conditions, XRPR invests at least 80% of its net assets in XRP, either directly or through a dedicated XRP subsidiary. The fund may also use assets that offer exposure to XRP (such as XRP-backed ETPs) to help with liquidity and tracking. A smaller portion may be held in cash or cash-equivalents.
XRPR makes it easier for investors to gain exposure to XRP without needing to handle wallets or manage private keys. It's built to be bought like any other ETF through a brokerage account. However, investors should be aware that holding an ETF is not the same as owning XRP directly. Returns may lag due to fees, structure, and the use of subsidiary holdings or proxy instruments. The cryptocurrency market’s volatility and evolving regulatory environment also add risk.
