Reputed white hat crypto hacker 'samczsun' is joining investment firm Paradigm Fund as a research partner, according to an announcement posted to Twitter on Friday.

The pseudonymous hacker is well-known in the crypto community for discovering bugs in the decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape.

In 2019, samczsun uncovered significant security vulnerabilities in the 0x v2 Exchange and the Livepeer protocol. More recently, samczsun took charge of an operation to protect nearly $10 million worth of ether (ETH) tied up in a risky Ethereum smart contract.

According to a blog post, samczsun's responsibilities at Paradigm will include helping to evaluate the security of potential portfolio companies and assisting current ones.
