European Central Bank: We have no plans to issue digital currency

The central bank's president, Mario Draghi, believes that distributed ledger technologies still require 'substantial further development' and there is no 'concrete need' to issue a digital euro because the use of physical cash is still high in the eurozone. (Source: Reuters)
