Chinese retail giant JD.com will launch a blockchain research lab

JD.com, one of China's largest online retailers, is launching a joint blockchain research lab in partnership with Ying Wu College of Computing at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The lab will research fundamental consensus protocols, privacy protection and security in decentralized applications with the goal of solving the efficiency and stability challenges that restrict the wider application of blockchain.
